Hanging Phone Stand
The hanging phone stand is meant to keep you from hunching your back to look at your phone. I made it to hang on the shelf of the desk in my dorm room.
User Testing
My results over all are generally positive.
I did my first user test prior to completing the stand.
Does it feel stable?
The stand wobbles a little and the phone falls off easily.
Does it fit your phone?
No, the cover is too far up for it to work.
What do you think of the aesthetic?
The fabric is nice, but the wood and hooks should be painted.
What would you improve?
Use a 3D printed base for the planned back stand.
After implementing the back stand I did more user testing.
Does it feel stable?
L: Yes, I feel like I can use my phone without it falling.
Z: Yes, it doesn't shake.
C: Yes, it looks really balanced.
Does it fit your phone?
L: Yes, but it is a little tight trying to get the cover over.
Z: Sort of, the phone is barely under the cover.
C: Yes, its a little loose.
What do you think of the aesthetic?
L: I like the fabric design, the wood could be painted or stained
Z: It looks pretty.
C: The pattern is cute, I like that it matches the white of the hooks.
What would you improve?
L: Make it easier to fit more types of phones, add a sliding cover.Z: Better cover, put a magnet attachment like for cars.
C: Paint the wood white to match the aesthetic.
